Held on the first Saturday of February and March, these are the largest craft fairs in Australasia.
Golden Shears
The World's premier Shearing and Wool handling Championships takes place in Masterton during the first weekend in March.
Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival
Showcasing sensational wines and food from throughout the Wairarapa region, this relatively new event already has a loyal following. Held in Gladstone the 2011 date is tbc. Bus transport from Martinborough is usually available.
Round the Vines
This annual fundraising walk/run through the vines, will take place on Sunday 20th March 2011.
Easter
In 2011 Easter falls on the weekend of 24th April, a great opportunity to camp before putting the tent away for winter.
